Nicholas Osmond

Nicholas trained at Mountview.  He has worked as a freelance actor in all genres for over 20 yearsA selection of theatre credits include: Witness For The Prosecution – London County Hall; The Lion King – UK and international tour; An Inspector Calls – UK tour for The National Theatre; The Shell Seekers – UK tour;  Oblomov’s Dream – Jermyn Street Theatre;  Rosencrantz And Guildenstern Are Dead, Vieux Carre, Rock ‘n’ Roll – all for The Manchester Library Theatre;  King John – Union Theatre (Off West End Theatre Award nomination – best play); Phys Ed– 24/7 Theatre Festival (Manchester Evening News Award nomination – best performance in a fringe production);  Nicholas has appeared in several productions for Oxford’s Creation Theatre Company, including: Much Ado About Nothing, Alice and A Christmas Carol.

TV and film credits include: The Sarah Jane Adventures, The Six Wives of Henry VIII, Battle For Britain and Three Minute Moments.

On the radio Nicholas played the ratbag barman Leon in BBC Radio 4’s long running soap opera The Archers.  Alongside his acting work, Nicholas has recorded hundreds of voice overs, including numerous commercials, audiobooks, English language tapes, museum audio guides, e-learning tutorials, public service announcements and live TV continuity.  He has also done ADR for several high-profile film and TV productions including, Harry Potter and The Crown.

 

As a writer, Nicholas has written three plays: Lear’s Daughters, Horatio and Hamlet and an adaptation of A Christmas Carol, all of which were successfully produced by Creation Theatre Company.
