David Ashley

David trained at the RSCM, RSM, the Tanwood Theatre School and has a BA(Hons) in Performance Study from City University. As an actor, David has appeared in 11 west end plays and musicals including, Cats, Les Miserables, Blood Brothers, Starlight Express, Dirty Blonde, Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens, Ziegfeld, Me and My Girl.

As a freelance theatre creative and lecturer he has worked extensively at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, The Arts Educational Schools, London College of Music, London Studio Centre, Millennium Performing Arts, The Oxford School of Drama and Accademia Dello Spettacolo in Turin, Italy. David is also the External Examiner for the Musical Theatre Masters Programme at The Royal Academy of Music, the External Examiner for the BA Musical Theatre Programme at The Arts Educational Schools London, a founder Trustee for Read College, a new proposal reviewer for Methuen Drama Publications, exam repertoire consultant for ABRSM, an associate vocal patron of EDS and is a proud member of the Spotlight On team.

More recently, David Directed, Aladdin at the White Rock Theatre in Hastings, Chitty, Chitty Bang, Bang, at The Wyvern Theatre, The Sound of Musicals, at the Teatro Murialdo Turin, Summer Holiday, at the Wyvern Theatre, Bad Girls for London College of Music. As Musical Director, Coram Boy at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and as pre-production consultant for, The Selfish Giant and Musicanti di Brema both for Mario Restagno at the Accademia Dello Spettacolo in Turin. David also teaches privately in London.
